Your Career Needs Spring Cleaning Too January 18, 2022
It’s about time for Spring Cleaning. Well actually, I did a quick search and found that it’s usually done in March/April (you know, springtime?), but to me the beginning of the year is the perfect time to get organized so things start off fresh and clear.
Personally, I have found that getting organized has given me space to start projects that have interested me. So, if there are some things that you’d like to start pursuing but feel overwhelmed to begin, try and get organized first, and go from there. Starting is often the hardest part.
If you’re thinking you might want to start thinking about other job opportunities, the first step could be clearing your space to get started. I have listed out below some brief areas you can focus on, and some links to resources that can help you. There is a lot here, so I recommend scrolling to one area you want to target and reading the blogs from there.
LinkedIn is a great platform when you’re starting off on your career exploration, because there are thousands of people on there who are just like you, or who have been where you are and love to share their lessons learned.
I often speak with candidates who can see the benefit of LinkedIn but feel intimidated to create that profile. I remember when that was me.

Not everyone has an updated resume, but this is your sign to make that happen! As you browse LinkedIn, you never know if you will stumble upon something you’d actually like to apply for, and you want to be ready.
